I didn’t see another AP owners thread, and these deserve the love. I forget exactly how many of these were made, but surely a few of them are owned by members of this forum.
There are quite a few. I think there is already a thread or two that have been going for a few years now.
I searched for a thread for AP owners but found none. If this is a duplicate thread, hopefully someone will remove it. I just looked again at threads going back to 2012 but saw nothing like a thread for AP owners/enthusiasts.
Mo dedicated thread of only owners, but many threads where various owners show theirs: https://omegaforums.net/threads/wha...ster-alaska-i-project-watch-so-special.85169/ https://omegaforums.net/threads/1969-2019-50-years-alaska-project.70500/ https://omegaforums.net/threads/moonwatch-alaska-project.50687/ https://omegaforums.net/threads/spe...inal-alaska-ii-and-the-2008-re-edition.48277/ https://omegaforums.net/threads/ome...n-alaska-iv-and-grandfather-of-the-x-33.5775/
Only owning a dozen late 1970s photos showing the Soyuz 25 & 26 crews wearing the Omega Alaska II Project watches & red outer cases... Have written a few articles on this prestigious ultimate space watch project which celebrates its 50th anniversary this 2019... Just wanted those here who own the AP LE to show their watches, but I have a feeling there aren't many here, and many who posted photos on other threads are no longer active.
That is quite a NATO on that AP. So there are at least two of us on this forum. Anyone else? Does anyone where yours regularly? Mine has about 5 hrs or wrist time in 10 yrs.
That is a pretty rad NATO strap. I think the Alaska models are beautiful. Just wish they were affordable (for me)!
