    Such a cool moonwatch in my opinion and great history behind it. One just popped up on eBay:

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/252698159704Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network

    Way too high for my budget and even if it were I would not even attempt with seller with 0 feedback.

    What do you guys think? Cool or overrated?

    @ulackfocus I have a feeling I know what you will say ;)

    There are several fairly recent threads on OF about these watches.

    Looks like the alaska project watch called for a shaved back of the hand model versus the one showing the Daytona same seller has listed..

    $7500 is really high, IMHO, these have been selling for $6000 recently, and could be had for $4500 as early as beginning of this year.

    Does seem very high, but since I have one I'm OK with that. ;) Can't see it selling for anywhere near what they started the listing at.

    I'm not a fan of the Alaska. Sure it's neat when you first see it with the red case, but the mercury capsules are a turn off. Now the other white speedies, Japanese Panda or Italian silvered dial... me want.

    Here is the YouTube review that got me hooked on this one:

    I do like the minor differences in the chrono sub dials, makes it more unique, but a part of me would have liked to see more white too.

    Would you wear the red cover thingy during ofc mtg? It looks like someone stuck a red donut on the watch. Then again, it makes the best bezel/watch protector out there. I wish i can use the donut on my other watches during strenuous activities.

    I love it, but the price gave me pause when it was under $4k so at $6k...I'm out. I did pick up a mitsukoshi dial.

    It all depends on what type of office meeting or strenuous activities you're referring too ;)

    1 - How long have you worked for your company to get this gift?

    2 - Can I work for your company? I can give you a list of 100 strengths :D
