I understand a full service comes with an Omega 24month warranty. Does this mean you get a new red International warranty card with the watch when it’s returned? I’d like that to keep as part of the service history.
I don't think a service is included in the warranty. It is a repair if something goes wrong. And when I sent mine in for repair, under warranty, I did not get a new card back. I sent in a copy of my card (didn't want it to get lost).
You do get confirmation of the service but the card is not the same as the original warranty card so yes and no.
I didn't get any card after service on my triple date through an OB in 2018. But I would think that the payment receipt is all you need to document it in the service history (my receipt had watch SN on it), along with any other post-service paperwork they might give you.
Back in 2017, the U.S. service centers sent your watch back with a card like this. I would assume that it is as good as a warranty card as it includes the service number on the top line.
Seems quite different to TH where I do get a 1 year card, only difference is where it says repair/(er) date the text of the fields on the original card purchase(r) date/ store. Bottom card is the renewed 2 years factory warranty they issued after this repair although the watch being 12 years ago purchased.
My wife's old De Ville was recently serviced by Omega. As well as the replaced parts being returned, you also receive a service card, I assume you would receive similar for modern pieces to keep along side the original warranty card etc. maintaining your service history. Apologies for the bad photo... old phone. Edit: The service warranty is for 24 months
Thank you all for the info. Its a shame this 2yr warranty doesn’t come with a new warranty card stamped and dated by the service centre, that would be a nice touch. My cards are the standard red colour, perhaps they could produce a different colour as an official service warranty card.
A few years ago I received a white warranty card for 2 years following a full service; the most recent watch I had serviced came with just a paper receipt from Omega. That watch had to go back twice under the service warranty, and the first time was returned with a new 2 year warranty, but the second time it didn't. This was also the first time I've had old parts returned (from the original service, not the repairs).
They're still doing them in the UK at least you just need to ring up Omega Southampton service center and request the card. This is mine from 8 June 20 and offers 24 months warranty. Much better than the flimsy rubbish you get from Rolex
So if you don't call them you just get the paper receipt? I'd be less likely to lose the card; not good with paper. Thanks for the heads-up.
Yeah, it seems you have to actively request the card now. I requested mine from Veronica two weeks after having my watch returned to me. It is much better than a print out as it goes nicely in a spare slot of the card wallet. Come on Omega, we're not asking too much after paying £660 for a service! Omega Southampton: 023 8087 8780
