·Hello everyone,
I would appreciate some guidance from members who have experience with modern Omega warranty activation.
I recently acquired an Omega Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch, reference 310.30.42.50.01.002, through a dealer in the United States. The dealer sources watches from Europe.
The watch itself appears correct and the documentation is consistent. The reference and serial number match across the watch, warranty card, Master Chronometer card, tags, and packaging. I also contacted the official Omega Boutique in Brazil, and they confirmed that the serial number corresponds to the Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch shown in my photos.
The issue is the warranty card.
The physical Omega International Warranty card has the correct reference and serial number, but the date field is blank and there is no Authorized Dealer stamp on the card.
The U.S. dealer told me that his European supplier had not activated the warranty when he originally received the watch, but that the supplier is now arranging the warranty activation and that it should be valid for the full 5 years once completed.
I contacted the official Omega Boutique in Brazil, and they told me that, in the card’s current condition, the warranty is not considered valid because there is no purchase date and no Authorized Dealer stamp. They also said they cannot trace the warranty locally because the watch was acquired outside Brazil.
So my questions are:
I am not questioning the authenticity of the watch itself. My concern is specifically making sure the international warranty is properly activated and documented.
Any first-hand experience with a similar case would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

So my questions are:
- Has anyone had a similar situation with a modern Omega where the warranty was activated after the watch had already left the original dealer?
- If the original Authorized Dealer activates the warranty electronically in Omega’s system now, can the full 5-year warranty still be valid even if the physical card was originally left blank?
- Does the physical card still need to be dated and stamped by the original Authorized Dealer, or is electronic activation in Omega’s system enough for modern watches?
- Is there any way for the owner to independently verify the official activation date directly with Omega?
- If the original AD completes the activation now, should I ask them to provide a newly completed card, written confirmation, or some other proof of activation?
I am not questioning the authenticity of the watch itself. My concern is specifically making sure the international warranty is properly activated and documented.

Thank you.
