The UK price increases seem to be happening gradually throughout the day, I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't do the same in the USA when the working day progresses. The rest of the world is a few hours ahead of you... I guess we'll see.

I can't help but wonder if that has anything to do with the state of the US economy and the COVID epidemic which is far worse in the US than in the rest of the world. Although there are plenty of US residents who can afford Omega's prices and who could easily absorb a price increase, perhaps Omega decided that the optics of raising prices now in the US is simply not a smart move.

I鈥檓 afraid too good to be true..at the same time US dollar lost its value to other main currencies like EUR or CHF. I guess we will see by end of day

How long has the USD price been set at $5350 for hesalite?

i wonder if maybe that price was set very recently and I didn鈥檛 notice

i vaguely remember that that has been the price for about a year now

Price went from $5250 to $5350 on Jan 1, 2019, not sure how long it was at $5250, but for all practical purposes price hasn't had a real increase for a few years. It's due for market and exchange rate adjustment.

Oh okay.

I agree, $100 is hardly anything compared to $5250

Perhaps, although given the worldwide casualties and misery caused by the pandemic, to single out one country for "compassionate" pricing while adding (for example) CAD 850.00 to the price of an SMP 300 Diver on steel seems a bit much. Seems more likely that these latest hikes are a response to currency fluctuations and market-specific pricing strategies.

I do think that Omega is taking a risk here, though -- the SMP that seemed a relatively good buy at 6k is expensive at 7k a few months later. I sure as heck would be looking elsewhere if I were a first-time buyer looking to get into Omega or simply a luxury diver at this point.

Even though prices didn't increase for the US, I'm going to blame OP for making me buy another incoming PO lol. It was on my list anyway, but RRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEE!

Watches of Switzerland are still showing the old prices for the Speedmaster Pro although they've updated on the Omega site.

Right, very poor timing for an increase. How about a reduction? Yeah right.

I think the only time I heard of a reduction was when Breitling lowered their prices a few years back as a bit of a price correction exercise. Don鈥檛 think we鈥檒l ever likely see that happening again!

Asked my AD (SoCal) a couple days ago (9/01) and they denied any price hike coming soon. Of course take it with a grain of salt.

When I bought my Railmaster in February there was rumour that this model would potentially cease production, and since then I've seen a fair few being sold off in many popular UK 'high street' stockists' online sales promotions at a considerable discount (eg. 30% off). Surprised then to see the RM as now being affected by the latest price hike, which in this case seems to be nearer to 9%.

Hello,
Is this a rumour or formal information from the ADs?

Major UK ADs now also reflecting the prices increase in the last few days too. Initially it seemed to be only direct purchases from Omega affected.
