    Hello community,

admittedly, I am not following too closely the prices of all AP pieces in their catalog, but has (have?) there been a price hike in the last 6-12 months?

I am actually asking specifically about the RO perpetual calendar SS ref. 26574ST.OO.1220ST.02

RRP is currently $78,400 and I just SEEM to remember another (lower) price when I last checked (for a friend, I promise ), but having done quite a bit of "virtual window shopping", may be it is my memory which is playing tricks on me.

Would really appreciate any input on this (not that it would change anything, with the exception of my mental (in)sanity, perhaps!).

AP consistently has always increased their prices. I recall buying a rubber clad RO Offshore when first released for under 9K. The price for the perpetual calendar SS not too long ago was $60,900. So, if it has been a year, the prices have increased. You are sane, AP......

There was a 5.0% increase implemented as of 5th January. I think this was on all models but was definitely on all RO, ROO's and Code.
This was the third increase in 13 months.

Well, thank you guys for confirming that I am not (too) insane!! ::psy::

On the other hand, as @Marsimaxam stated, these prices are now completely ludicrous.
For reference, I remembered a RRP of around $59,000, which is close to the $60,000 mentioned above. This makes the new price a nearly 25% increase!!!! ::screwloose::

On the other hand, if this is what it takes to weed out the scalpers and other grey dealers, more power to AP!

Oh well, yet another brand I, I mean, MY FRIEND will no longer need to consider in his searches!! ;)

In my opinion another brand taking the p@ss out of their customers.

I picked this 15202 up just over 2 years ago from my AD and managed to get just short of 20% off. AP then made it a Boutique exclusive and raised the price by 10%, 6 months later a further 8% and then last week, 7 months later, a further 5% increase.

I was hoping to add the St St model this year but that’s had exactly the same price increases so will be giving it a miss.

Beautiful piece! Well, any of the RO with a blue dial is a winner IMO, but this is really nice!

As you state, there are really taking customers for a ride here... but that will be without me.

Things happen for a reason, and you can make sure that I am training the next generation to follow suit!!

The gold 15202 has always been my dream watch. I remember thinking 3 years ago that I could probably afford it in 2.5 years if I really saved and there were no price increases. Of course, now the watch is unobtainable for me.

£56700.00 in England after last price increase. Lovely watch but I’d never pay that much for it.

If I made like $250,000 a year, I would get one but I'm a little short of that balance.

That's taking the piss. I have my name on a wait list for a 15500 but at £19,000 it's a bit steep. Fuck paying grey market prices.

 if that's the case there is a fair chance I'll be doing the same as you and giving it a miss. VC Overseas might be back on the list.

I really lucked out and got my 15400 back in 2017 for $13,500. That was a 22% discount. There's no way I'd pay over $20k now for a 15500.

I think a lot of the makers are getting beat about price increases, but how much of the blame should be on the fed and treasury for printing money with reckless abandon?

I wonder how these modern price increases impact discontinued grey market prices, I assume a correlating increase
