I've seen several posts mention a +/- 6% upcoming price hike. Has anyone seen this confirmed in the US among ADs? Are these price hikes typically universal across all models?

Not sure whether it’s true, but if so it’s a very aggressive move in the midst of a world economy saddled with a pandemic.

My AD in Canada said the prices go up September 1st.

Same here, though they didn't specify an amount. We already had a decent-sized jump in May across several lines, including Seamaster and Speedmaster, so if it's at the top end of 6% we'd be looking at rises of somewhere around 10-12% in 4 months, which is pretty damn sharp, especially given the market conditions. It's enough to have me looking elsewhere for a new diver (well, that and the current catalogue).

IDK, the world is going crazy. Chrono24 is now charging 7.5% for US buyers on top of 6.5% for sellers. That means it's now more expensive than eBay + PayPal. With an Omega price hike, things are going to get even worse.

This is now neither a seller nor a buyer's market.

I think people spending thousands of pounds/dollars on a watch aren’t really feeling the full force of the economic downturn/pandemic.

They'll raise the prices, and the ADs will just discount more on this other side...

So a 6% increase for the speedmaster, which will get the 3861 movement later this year, which will mean a 15% price increase for the speedy on top of that?

Gray market seems to be reflecting the above in any case, prices for new standard hesalite speedmasters seem to be going up.

Why stop at 6%, raise the prices 10-15%.....the market will dictate sales

Yep, Chrono24 just walked that thing back a bit....

This makes Grey Market even more attractive.

Very real. Went to two different Omega boutiques a couple of days ago and both times the staff member told me about the price increase for September.

So I should look to get a Seamaster 300m this month then if in the US I assume.
Curious if anyone can confirm what regions will be will be getting the increase.

If you pay retail, the difference is about $300 more. I wouldn't rush to find one if you aren't ready.
