Just got 2 of these back from Pogue guru, @Sir Alan...

On the left, a May 1970 Proof that's been on the bench a while trying to find a kosher replacement chrono hand (Simon managed to get it back on OK so no need in the end).

On the right, a supposedly near mythical Silver Proof, from July 69, acquired from @watchknut a while ago and since serviced and tarted up.

And in the middle, the nearest I could get to a proper Pogue, a 6139-6002, Resist from May 71.

Nice to see a few other World Times showing up! Here's mine earning its name earlier this year

But it's been dethroned by the 6106 for daily use. Picked this up a few months ago when it showed up online not far from me, but have been too busying wearing it to get many decent pics. Guess that's as good a sign as any that it's a keeper! It wears wonderfully and looks great; even caught the attention of my non-watch-people friends a few times! Haven't gotten around to fixing the scratched, wavy crystal either, but it's hardly noticeable while wearing.

And a family shot to wrap things up!

If not getting a warranty was a deal breaker for you, then I would have thought it should be a no-brainer to send this one back for correction under warranty. 馃榾
After I read this from you, I just had to send it to Seiko for a warranty service 馃榾 , haha, thanks.
I also asked them to resize the bracelet for me ( local Rolex dealer tried to resize it for me and said its very different and links did not fit properly. He told me Seiko makes cheap low quality watches, you should either return it or ask them to resize it for you. ) I liked it more on nato, but i guess for some time I will wear it on bracelet. Thanks guys..

I've been on the quest to "establish" a perfect, personal SKX. The only thing I don't care for a lot with the original SKX is the movement. However, since there are so many options available for personalizing, and talented watchmakers to do the heavy lifting, I've been on the quest.

#1 - now in the custody of my son:

#2 - wedding present from son to his best friend:

#3 - now in the custody of my best friend (on a Strapcode Oyster, not my beloved JR Omega):

And now, the pi猫ce de r茅sistance:

I'm stuck on 6R15 (NE15) movements. All have them. All crystals are sapphire. The parts are from Dagaz, Yobokies, Sekio OEM and Artifice. All lugs drilled by a premier machinist (even if it's not his profession) Steve Horn. Alex Abreau (Artifice) and Duarte Mendonca (Northeast Watch Works) did all the work. For fast and spectacular - see Duarte. For slow x slow, but very good - see Alex.

I think I'm all set now, but I do have a bunch of parts kicking around....

Bang for buck I think the SKX holds its own against anything out there. I know they鈥檙e too big for me but I really don鈥檛 care!
