Is it hid? your Seiko 5 no Seiko collection is complete without a 5 never mind I saw it and its a nice one
Great collection & got a few Seikos myself but nowhere near as many as you. It looks like you quite like the 7A28 series of watches . Can't see one of these in your picture ,it's a 7A28-7020 & was worn by Mr Bond in a view to a kill . But I'm sure you already know that anyway , given your fantastic collection
I think it's 15 7A**s and two 7T27 RAF Gen 2s. I'm told there are 80 7A38 variants alone. This might be a long haul....
At best after market service parts. Worst case. I did know this before the purchase and the price reflected that, but I do like these.
I love the Seiko kinetics, 4 year old gray one, and newish silver dial watch. Bracelets fit me right out of the box.
Got a delivery of a few pieces today for my collection, thought I would share them! Seiko 'Katakana' (1940s) My understanding is that there was a short period during the war (WW2?) where the government banned the use of any enemy language, and as a result, Seiko used Japanese on their dials. Really nice piece NOS with the original tag attached - Seiko with three-toned dial and applied Breguet numbers (1950s) Really love this one, dial is perfect and even though its only about 30mm, I'm still going to wear it. Seiko 'Steve Jobs' 6431-6030 (Circa '83) This is the simple quartz watch, made famous by Steve Jobs. His watch sold for around $42k some time last year. I came across a NOS vintage piece with tag and sticker on the case back and couldn't say no . Super cool piece!
I think it's a term started on one particular forum but seems to have spread into sales posts on various other sites without possibly being taken up into their mainstream posts. http://www.thedivewatchconnection.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=70&t=62307&p [Edit: I can't seem to make the link go to the start of the thread. Sorry.] Only just discovered it myself this weekend as I've just purchased this one (hoping it gets shipped tomorrow) and been trying to do more research. Looks to be an Australian sold example of the SRPC49; I think we got the English/"chinese" kanji day wheel. No "Made in Japan" on the dial or caseback which I think is specific to the JDM SBDY005 which also got the English/Japanese Kanji day wheel. Still not 100% sure on everything about it. Some markets got an English/Roman Numerals wheel and it's still not clear to me which is the J1 and which is the K1 version or even if each varies by location. I've already ordered a khaki Crown and Buckle NATO, as suggested by @Foxy100 and the white on black Japanese kanji day and date wheels as displayed on the following example by xplay on WUS. Though, judging from my past performance, it might take a while to get this actual mod completed (by a professional, certainly not to be done myself).
Just wanted to share with you my birth month watch freshly landed from Germany. Manufactured in august, 1971, like me
