Great mod & thought about doing the same to mine ,but decided to keep it original apart from adding a Seiko jubilee bracelet .

Nice jubilee bracelet but the silicon strap makes the whole package much lighter on the wrist.

These Seikos are very adaptable in ways that the ‘traditional’ marques aren’t.

Recently found this forum...my newfound “hobby” has me reviving my ~40 year old Seiko given to me by my bride way, way, way back when. Cleaned up, new battery, still tells time. Unfortunately the “light” quit and it seems this particular movement isn’t replaceable.
