Seiko 6106 8100 from June 1968 which is a sports watch aimed at the splashing about in the water rather than the hardcore dive market. Some of the period adverts are clearly aimed at the surfing market and the watch is not as robust as say a 6306 or a 6309. Not very rare as seiko made endless versions of the 6106 with various dial variations but the movement is rock solid although a lot of examples now show a fair bit of wear
This is a nice example but I need to hunt down an original bracelet to finish it off
www.fratellowatches.com/tbt-the-vintage-seiko-sport-divers provides some additional info on this largely overlooked model

Very nice! Is it relumed? This thing would probably glow like a torch if it had the current gen Lumibrite on there! Wonder if there's a way to get a hold of it for my quartz 6458...

I'm down at the beach for three weeks and all of my Seikos are at home so I'll have to use stock pics.

Here's one that may pop up a bit later 😉

Isn't this on eBay right now?

Link?

I don't know, better ask @STANDY, doubt it though.

I saw one earlier that looked very similar(aged). I can't find it now... it either sold or pulled

What's better than one single, 70M Proof Pogue?

Left one is from July '69 and has a flat-topped replacement crystal. The one on the right is from October 69 has an original domed crystal that is a bit scuffed up. Both will be heading off for service soon...

Lovely watch and I swapped mine onto a replacement strap from http://www.uncleseiko.com/store/p5/6138_UFO_and_Slide_Rule_Solid_Link_Bracelet.html which suits the bulky case as it is similar to the original for model 6138 - 001 (GE) AV01
I have no affiliation with him but have bought several bracelets and been impressed with the fit and build quality

New arrival - Bell-Matic 4006-6010 😀

It's a March 1970 issue, so "waterproof" and it's amazing. Very impressed by how great the condition is, as both dial and case are nearly faultless (well, the dial IS faultless and there are only very superficial scratches on the case!) and both alarm and time telling seem to function perfectly 😀

The only trouble I have is that I'd love an original bracelet and that will probably more than double my current investment 🤦

I am completely dumbfounded by the fact that a 38mm Stainless Steel, automatic watch with alarm function, day and date discs and a great looking linen dial is currently worth about the price of a buckle for a vintage Omega. Something is downright wrong with this. Honestly, at the time they were new, these were range-toppers at Seiko and more expensive than chronographs and divers - which are STILL cheap in comparison with their Swiss counterparts 😵‍💫

Compared to an Omega Memomatic, this is roughly 1/10 of the price... That's crazy.

Gotta love my Seiko Bellmatic. Really really nice watch at a nice price. Alarm sounds great too:

Is it me or are Bellmatics all over the place right now? Normally uncommon on eBay but current there is a bunch. Plus some of the Seiko micro blogs have been talking about them.

I've said this before Seikos have huge upside right now for any all original from the 60's to mid 70's. That bullhead for sale right now going to look like a steal next year
