Just can't seem to stop buying these, just received 2 more. I'm up to 5 now. 2 work fine but 3 have issues, that I think I can sort out.

An 18mm leather strap does work well on a 17mm lug, the strap below is an 18mm distressed calf single pull through on a 17mm lug. (there's a nice choice of leather NATOs at Strapsco - although that's not where I got mine).

He knows his way around a strap for sure! He did my rally strap on my 6139.

Not mine:( But it is a very very cool watch none the less. It is a palladium alloy (silver and palladium) Grand Seiko. Lost the photos of the hallmark on the caseback :(

    What did you find lacking?
I'm curious because I've been eyeing a green leather one for one of my Seikos, I really like the color on the photo but wondered if it might be too stiff, and if the fading effect would look too cheap in real life.

    Can you link it?

Ones like this one are cheap and painted

These are super soft leather but not breaking in at all.

I was looking for a beach/swim watch. i saw this watch hundreds of times before, everyone seems to have a good thing to say about it, but i never thought of getting one.
As i was searching the past weeks for my options on an under €500 diver skx alongside the sumo where the two watches that almost everyone seemed to agree that are probably the best watches for the money.
And at €200 i did't had anything to loose if i did't like it.
Anyway the watch arrived yesterday and what a surprise it was... this watch is way more beautiful than it looks in pics.
Very happy with it!!! how is this watch only €200... and why i did't get one earlier? :)

So we are redoing parts of the house and getting new furniture. Wife while rummaging around says "You want to keep this old watch?"
    What watch?
"Think your mom and dad gave it to you"

So turns out watch I wore for a few years was a Seiko 5 guessing got it around 1990-1994. Wife thinks 1985-1989 more likely. Wasn't a fan of the dial then but pretty fond of it now.

My 009 like yours spends way more time on my wrist the I will admit. It's comfy and just looks better then more you use it.

Where did you get that blue rubber strap? I really like that.
