In the next month or two I'm buying that model. Wife suggested I get that color. Want something for a beach vacation that I don't have to worry about.

For a beach holiday beater, presumably water may be involved. I'd consider the Sport model SNZG09 or one of the diver models. For me, an Orient Mako fulfils that requirement.

Yes it's the 5 SNZG09K1 I'm looking at.
100m ought to be sufficient since I'm unlikely to have it under more than a meter of water 馃榾

My GF's B-day present, she needs something with 24 hour markers for work. She is getting the black on a bracelet though.

I was bumbling around looking for a quality aftermarket rubber strap for my SKX007 and found this site: http://www.skywatches.com.sg/

SKX prices are as good as I've seen anywhere, with free shipping.

That dial at the 6 -- I love that indicator bit. Sorta reminds me of a steamboat speed thingamajigger in the pilothouse.

Yes, it's always reminded me of that, too. IIRC the instruction book had a nautical theme to it. I should try and dig it up.

I liked the first bellmatic so I bought 2 more. 1st one purchased (center) works just fine. 2nd purchased (left) needs a mainspring then we'll see what happens. 3rd purchased (right) stops intermittently don't know why yet. The alarm defintely is not loud enough to wake me up but works fine as a reminder during the day.

Just bought this to abuse. I really like it.

I unwrapped it yesterday and showed it to my 2 year old daughter, who was angry with me at that moment for some reason, so she imidiately took it and threw it through the living room. Not a scratch.

Had this for about 3 years now, and I paid about 拢250 for it. Still blown away by the quality of it for this price, and it never misses a beat.

My two Seikos (one of them is a little uncomfortable to wear on wrist, guess which of them):

This arrived recently a Seiko 6138 0010 dual chronograph from May 1970 with the sought after proof dial. It was named the Yachtsman Chronograph but is better known as the UFO
It is a big unit being 44mm from lug to lug and 13mm thick which must have seemed enormous when it was released .

Just received this interesting Seiko 7017 6020 Speedtimer Flyback Chronograph from September 1970 It was a JDM and this has the rare Waterproof dial and caseback. The dial incorporates a number of scales and I believe it was aimed at the rally market.I do know the bracelet is not original but I am trying to find out more about the watch. If anyone has any additional info please get in touch

Fairly opposite ends of the (newer) Seiko spectrum, but I love them both. Want to add some vintage to them...
