Longtime lurker, first time poster looking to get some input for a first Omega purchase. I used the Learn to Fish Guide to give it a quick lookover, and it looks to be in good condition.

I really love the shape of this case and the clean dial. In searching, I have also seen pictures of KL6312 and 166.010 reference numbers, which seem to have a similar shape to the 14701 seen in the link above.

If anyone has opinions on this listing (or advice on finding reference numbers that have a similar look), I would really appreciate it! Thanks pic 3.jpg pic 2.jpg pic 1.jpg

It's already at about as high as it should go. I'll have one of these surplus so PM me if you want pics.

Honestly, I'm not sure why people are bidding so much on it. It looks like there is some staining around the outer part of the dial, which would put me off. And it has no bracelet.

I'm personally looking to wear it with a leather strap so the bracelet is not a huge factor for me. But I do agree the dial is not perfect, even has some damage to the "Seamaster" font

Regardless of how you intend to wear it, the bracelet is worth about $200 USD. If you were getting the bracelet for that price, you could sell it.

I've bought a few of these 1960s Seamasters recently (166.010, 165.010, 166.009, 168.022, etc.), and I'm finding that with some patience I can find nice examples for $600-$700 with bracelets. Chronometer-rated pieces are a little more. But this one has some dial damage and no bracelet. Maybe it's the UK premium.
