I've been toying with the idea of replacing the dial on my FOIS with a Broad Arrow reissue dial. Two questions: Am I mistaken in that this looks to be a more accurate dial for the FOIS (or, am I nuts)? If not, will it fit properly?

    Thanks, Mike

I believe Schirra's watch had alpha hands and white batons on all the sub dial so broad arrow hands would not be representative of his watch.

EDIT: I misread the question. I think the 57 dial looks similar to the original dial but I'll let the experts weigh in.

If you mean the 1997 Replica Edition with the Broad hands then yes the dial does look a bit more like that fitted to the late 2998 and yes it will fit but you are still missing the dial step and have Superluminova lume so wont really look particularly original. If you a straight lug to look like a 1960s model, sell your FOIS and buy a 1960s model, it may be cheaper than modding the FOIS in the long run.
