Where (preferably in Europe) can I online order a replacement strap for the FOIS (19mm) that at best looks close to the original?

Any Omega boutique can sell you one, and the strap that came with the FOIS is not that expensive - I think I paid £69 a year ago for one with the Omega buckle.

No need to buy something else then...

 

The only problem with that is the barenia straps like the FOIS have had their MSRPs jacked up by Omega in the last year to year and a half. When first released the barenia deply was $110 from an OB, and now their MSRP is $280. Likewise the FOIS strap at 69 GBP pre-Brexit was about equivalent to $110 USD, so who knows how much they're charging for them now.

That being said since the FOIS uses a standard tang buckle finding a suitable 19/16 strap that's at least comparable in quality shouldn't be too tough.

I was quoted GBP 180 at the OB on Bond Street.

 

If that's true then it's a hell of a mark-up (over a 100% increase!). As I say, £69 1 year ago - and that was from the OB in the Royal Exchange.

 

We went to the Jean Rousseau shop in London to source a strap for my wife's FOIS, made to measure (slightly shorter than the standard length strap) and in an identical leather and quite a bit cheaper than the price quoted in the Bond Street Boutique. www.jean-rousseau.com

 

I got a beautiful pale blue alligator strap from Jean Rousseau in Picadilly Arcade. Matched with an Omega deployant 16mm buckle, my watch will never go back to that nasty OEM strap.
