Thought I would share some pictures of this watch, as there are very few images from owners that I've seen so far, and I don't think that almost any of the images I have seen online do it justice or show how dynamic and cryptic the dial can be. Color ranges from Silvery-gray blue to deep sapphire and a lot of colors in between depending upon light conditions and angle.

Whatever lighting the OB uses; probably a cool LED

Warm LED, probably near 3k.

Fluorescent box-store lighting at various brightnesses. The deep blue under low levels of fluorescent light surprised me.

Warm to Yellow light, LED (also, pictured on this old T-shirt because I couldn't help but notice that the dial is reminescent of the Starship Enterprise A's deflector dish!)

I will say, the images online that show these dials to almost "glow" at the center are fairly honest. even a small amount of light makes this thing look like it has an inner light.

I got really lucky with this watch.

I called the OB in Bellevue, WA the other day to see if they had the heritage 75th. Unfortunately they didn't but they DID have the PO, AT, and 300M. They said that they hadn't seen one of the heritage models in weeks and had no idea when Omega was going to ship them another one, and had only received one so far.

I decided what the heck, I'll go look at the other members of the 75th they have to see what I think of the blue, and drove up there today from Vancouver, WA (2.5hr drive). When I got there they had actually gotten one in but had a customer who had already previously reserved it, but hadn't gotten back to them about picking it up. They were willing to let me take a look at it and try it on, and I loved it.

The SA couldn't reach the customer and wasn't willing (for obvious reasons) to sell me the watch. So, my wife and I took the kids to lunch, and then went back to put my name on whatever waiting list the OB had.

When I got back, the SA HAD reached the customer, who was out of state and would be for the remainder of the month and was willing to relinquish their spot. It wasn't a hard decision to make.

From puttering around the watch forums it doesn't seem like many heritages have been sold through OBs yet, but I have no idea how many have made it to US Boutiques.

All of my dealings with the Bellevue OB have been spectacular, and this was no exception. My children were immediately offered water and apple juice and I had a great conversation with Joshua about both the 75th anniversary line of watches and a number of speedies. My sales associate, Yebin, was incredibly polite and knowledgeable and had the bracelet sized properly in no time. I really like this OB and am super happy with how my experience went.

I think my favorite thing about this line of watches is how different it can feel/look depending on lighting. Almost like having multiple watches of the same model with different colors. Congrats on the purchase

Some more images from this morning with the sun just up and coming through the blinds in my great room. Nice natural light with that early morning kinda light gray feel. Nice "stone" look to the dial at some angles.

Thank you. I absolutely love it.

I know there are some that are not particularly a fan of the light blue lume and light blue bezel markers, but in my opinion on a blue watch, this is much better than the fauxtina, which is "ok" with black but isn't to my taste on blue. Obviously, imo.
That said, some of the Brosnan Bond era seamasters with tritium that has turned nearly gold, well, those look fantastic.

Thank you, and I agree! I was hoping for wildly dynamic shades and that's what I got.

Looks very nice and different, congratulations!

The bezel lume dot not being at 12 in the photos tortures my OCD really bad, but I assume you were using the bezel for a specific purpose at that time.

The Summer Blue Dial reminds me a bit of the Globemaster -- it's chameleon like in its ability to change its appearance depending upon the light. Fantastic watch and congrats on the purchase!

I bought my new 300 earlier this year. I went with the basic black on steel and I love everything about the watch. The accuracy is astounding and the lume is some of the best that I have ever seen.

Love that top picture, gbesq! Yes, this is my second heritage (first is a 1st gen) and I really appreciated the conversations I have had with you about the Heritage models--- not to mention the pictures of your FANTASTIC Rancheros.

I have to admit to both you and @Donn Chambers that the case, Crystal, bracelet, and general design of the gen 2 is way better than I initially gave credit. I absolutely love the shape and wrist feel of this thing!

Yep, the Gen 2 is a winner for sure. And a bonus pic of the Ranchero for you. Have a good night.

Some of the best bracelets that Omega ever made IMHO. That's a model 3010 bracelet, which Omega still makes, on the Ranchero.

I agree.

Before I purchased this SM304, I very strongly considered getting a fois as my second Omega, and I think I almost assuredly would have thrown that on to an uncle Seiko BoR or something similar.

Hmmm... is there a 21mm BoR?

Not that Omega makes to my knowledge, but perhaps someone else does. The 21mm lug width is the only thing about Gen 2 that is a bit off. Why Omega didn't make it 20 or 22 mm is baffling, but it is what it is. By the way, Nick Shabazz has a really great review of the Gen 2 here:

I kinda wonder if Omega took a cue from Rolex here; isn't their newest Sub bracelet 21/17?

Regarding Nick's review, I've seen it and the gen 1 video. I thought he was unduly harsh on the 300MCC but I recognize that he had some valid points at the same time.

Wow congrats on this acquisition!!

It’s great to finally see some real world shots of this watch, I don’t think any has been posted previously? What a stunner, very cool how varied the colors look depending on light.

I saw one person share just a few pictures on reddit a few days ago, and that’s it. Haven't seen anything anywhere else on the internet. I'm glad I was able to rectify that!

Thank you- I love it. I have always had a soft spot for blue watches and this one is exactly right.

The lume shots are just gorgeous on both the black and the summer blue. I like the lume filled markers on the black, are the markers on the summer blue lume filled as well?

This tread has changed my mind of this series of watches, I used to miss the lyre lugs and I didnt really like the steel ring on the bezel. I see past that now.
