One of the interesting aspects of these Seamasters is a lot of them, particularly lesser condition examples are being butchered to supply movements for Speedmasters due to the fact that in the past they've often sold for not much more than the cost of a very good condition 321 movement, if that trend continues they could start to become a bit of an endangered species.

Sure the market determines the price. Thats why the informed buyer does his research. And if you bothered to do the research, you will find this watch is overpriced, at this time.
Asking and selling price does not always imply the same. I did not say it was not an optimistic price just a tad tired of hearing

i am not saying this watch does not have an optimistic price request, however for someone looking for an honest watch it could be well worth a try to find a common understanding with the seller.
I have personally bought a few of my more cherished timepieces from sellers after making constructive inquiries.
Bottom line is that there are plenty of crap examples out there requesting almost the same.
This one has, at the right (negotiated lower) price, potential the crap ones does not posess.
The ones that "overpaid" on USD2500 321 Speedies a couple of years back are now laughing all the way to the bank.

I agree 100%. However, I will say that from my past experiences with numerous dealers/sellers there is an inverse correlation between the level of optimism in the pricing and the willingness to negotiate 😀

Yes, way overpriced, yet very nice. I have the similar, slightly earlier CK 2907, but this reference is slightly larger (36 vs. 34 mm).
Hi Adam...

The ck 2907 first generation Seamaster chronograph... Totally different style case then the one on eBay The CK 2907 as same lug shape as a time only Seamaster 2577 with the Seamaster thick lugs and Beefy bezel! 34 mm waterproof SnapBack. The dial style are similar.

Good hunting
