As an aside, I checked as best I could no-one had already pointed to this, but could you advise what's the best search term to check the item isn't already under discussion here? Listing title? Full eBay link?

Well, it is a redial. Not too bad, but a redial. I am not sure the dial were originaly black.

So I would not pay 400 $ for this watch, even if it looks in good condition.

Credit to the seller, he lists it as refinished dial.

 

But I must say the dial looks good at the first glance. So if you like it and do not mind a redial...

 

Yes, I did like the look of it (even after I noticed the phrase noting the redial) but not sure about the price..
