Seamaster 2551.80 Water resistance

I've been looking at the older midsize Seamaster's and wondered whether they generally still maintained their water resistance at this age? (I know each individual watch will need to be tested)

As long as the seals are good, it should be fine. The only issues you get are when there is putting on the sealing surfaces, but given the age of these watches that shouldn't be a problem.

Still got my 253180 (the 41mm version) from early 2000, it’s my swimming/ pool watch
