I guess this Seamaster is ref. 14765?!

I have no experience and much knowledge in Seamaster, so asking the OF for help.

the crown looks incorrect, right?!
The Dial and font looks good to me. The case seems unpolished… I know it is more guessing because of the bad pictures. The points on the dial seems to be reflections from scratches.

The seller said it is running well, but don’t react for more pictures from the dial and the movement.

Is it an interesting model for under 400 €? Or should I take my hands off?

thx for your comments!

I would not say that's unpolished - big tell on these cases are the lugs, they are small and thin and should have nice sharp edges. These appear very rounded.

I bought the watch for 230 €
On the Dial is one dot and some really small bubbles in the edges.

Those dial spots are actually no problem for this price, I guess.

the ugly thing is, that the gold plate is missing on the top of the left upper lug. It seems it broke off. Interesting is, that the gold layer on the top is much thiner as on the side of the lug.

Is it worth to change the crown?

I will take the watch to an watchmaker in the next weeks and will have a look into the case. Hopefully no further surprises …

Is it a plain crown as well?

If you’re happy with it I guess it’s an ok daily beater.
Personally I’d rather pay a few hundred more for a better example.

Yes that’s the correct style for a Deville (or pre Deville).
