Seamaster 120 redial or not?

Came across a nice Seamaster 120 ref 166.027, but wondering if it is a redial or not. Just so many of them around on this model it seems. Just feels like the Seamaster print is a bit thick and all text looks very white. Am I paranoid?

Im on my mobile phone, but there's a long thread dedicated to 120s, I'd suggest you check it out. I would need to look at pictures side by side, but I have doubts about the engraving on the caseback- might be too thick.

Looks ok to me although lume colour isn't very attractive and may have been relumed at some point

I have asked for some better pictures as well. Lume color can be tricky some times depending on the picture quality. But you are maybe right it looks a bit odd.

It’s not redialed but it’s certainly not a stellar example and should be priced accordingly

Does not looked redialled, don’t worry about lume it’s old to be expected.

Good watch when purchased at correct price

In hindsight I have less doubts about the engraving. In terms of valuation, it would be a pass for me above ±1500 EUR, due to missing pip, quality of the bezel, lack of a bracelet and the lume.

Oh and I didn't even take into account the lack of bracelet. So I agree with your valuation more. Also would be good to see movement shots before making the call

Exactly... asked for it. But listening to all of your comments I am still not sure I will go for it. I am a sucker for condition

If you are a sucker for condition, then be patient and ready to strike. They rarely come up in truly excellent condition- sometimes good to very good- but not excellent. Also be prepared to pay a hefty premium, which most people don’t account for when it comes to truly stellar examples. You can find a beater for $1.5k, or wait for a truly exceptional one at $2.5-3k…which is probably what it’s gonna cost

I don't really see so many re-dialed Seamaster 120s. Mostly I see out-and-out fakes.
