That's the one that just came out of service. The one in the middle is unpolished, the right is full set B&P's. Though for me to pick a favorite.

hey guys, so after a long search, i finally settled on a one owner 16750, all original except for the bezel/insert. see attached pic. the marks you see on the dial are from scratches on the crystal.

ultimately, i decided i wanted a 16750 due to the quick set feature. i also decided i wanted one on an original jubilee bracelet. that's not to say i won't strive for a 1675 in the future. 馃槈

i think i got a good example for the price (sub $8). a couple non-ideal things is there seems to be some oil staining around the center post. also, there is some stretch to the jubilee bracelet. i do really like the matching of the patina of the hour markers and hands, which i believe are original. as i've learned with vintage watches, you can't have it all, especially if you have a budget.

the watch is with la watchworks now for some servicing. will endeavor to post new pics once i get it back. cheers to everyone for your input and help. 馃憤
Nice job - love the watch. Looking for one myself....

I keep seeing these threads and for years i've had no interest in a GMT. Every time I read, I think about it more and more to the point I may have started laying groundwork with the wife 馃槈. Hope she isnt keeping track of every piece I mention in passing though...

Don't wait too long, as with other vintage pieces, the prices keep going up.

Regarding prices going up for vintage 1675's . One just sold today at McTears Watch Auction for 拢16500 including buyers premium. Was a 1967 gilt dial and small arrow with papers . Really nice condition but didn't expect it to sell for that !

Or save the $ for longer term goals like retirement by spending a smaller amount(around 6k USD) for a good honest example of a 16700, the last of the GMT Master. Get those with tritium to have patina, something modern watches can never acquire.

all 3 are awesome. cheers. i would love to add a 1675 gmt with a black fat font insert to my collection someday. i feel like the black inserts are not getting enough love these days.

Or just do what I did. I bought a 1675 with my wife's birth year (not mine) and told her that every time I look at the beautiful dial of the 1675, it makes me think of her beautiful face.馃槈

lol. i will keep that in mind. my wife's birth yr would actually make for a great 1675. although i think if i told her that she would laugh in my face. 馃槈

Best thing about GMT is that you can get different inserts and change your watch based on your mood!

Black insert for weekdays and pepsi insert for weekend!

The cases are different, both are 40mm but the 1675 is 12.6mm high. The 16750 comes in at 12.8mm so it's slightly thicker.
The 16750 is on top in this photo:

The crown guards have a different shape. An unpolished 1675:

A good example of the crown guards on the 16750:

I'm told the lugs are also just a bit longer on the 16750. Has this been your experience or not really noticeable?

The lugs look to be the same length to me. The chamfers appear to be thicker on the 1675 compared to the 16750 but we should remember that they were all hand polished at the factory and no 2 watches are exactly the same. 99% of them have been re-polished since then.

Never give up trying to find a nice one, hasta la victoria siempre 馃憤
