Dear Friends - for your consideration form my personal collection a beautiful all original 1982 Rolex GMT-Master 16750 Matte dial. The watch is in excellent condition and has been well preserved. The case looks unpolished to me with factory bevels still visible. There is no cratering around the lug holes and the factory brushed finish on top of the lugs are fully in tact.

The matte dial is also in excellent condition with no blemishes and gorgeous creamy lume plots and original matching hands. The movement was completely overhauled by and independent watchmaker with a Rolex account during my ownership back in 2018. The watch winds well and keeps good time. The Fat Font Redback Pepsi insert has faded evenly and compliments the watch quite well. The period correct 78360 Oyster bracelet has light stretch from use with G clasp code and 580 endlinks.

The 16750 was the last matte dial GMT-Master with the added benefit of quickset, it is by far my favorite reference. Parts are readily available from Rolex for service making this reference easy to maintain.

If you are looking for an honest, all original well preserved GMT-Master, this watch checks all the boxes.

Price: $15,500 wired includes overnight shipping and insurance within CONUS. International shipping at buyers expense, will not declare lower customs value as it voids my insurance.

Returns: only if grossly misrepresented within 24 hour inspection period. Buyer to pay shipping & insurance fees.

GLWTS!

This hurts! The pain comes from calling my ex 16750, my favourite watch and a “never sell” piece….then having to sell it to keep body and soul together. The matte 16750 is still my favourite of all time. This is a beautiful example and I envy the future owner.

Mine is in the same category- would be the last watch I sold and only in the case of dire circumstances. These are the best of the best and went unloved for decades. All the looks of the 1675 matte dial but with quickset date and higher beat rate. A transitional orphan with only a few years of production. And if it were ever sent back to Rolex they would have replaced the matte dial with glossy as SOP since the model mid-life “improvement” was the gloss/white gold surrounded indices dial- so the fact that it still has it’s matte dial is a massive selling point.
