Hi Mitka and OF, thanks for the nice read !
I just secured a Revue with MSR T4628A , which is stuck unfortunately so it is with my watchmaker. Overwound for 1 but probably dried out too. Any special particulairs to look out for ?

I see on the small crown winding wheel 3 holes and 2 screws only but that is because there is a jewel underneath to reach so designed like that i think.
Thanks !

HI,
A year or so ago I managed to but this nice J.W.Benson watch hallmarked in 1925.
I`m looking for confirmation that the movement is a Revue one..suggested as a calibre 38 on another forum.
I presume any markings are on the dial side as I can see nothing under the balance.
The actual movement diameter is approx 28mm if that is of any help.

Thanks in advance for any opinions

Is this a Revue ? Balance staff was broken. I measured it and Revue 59 fits.
I also remember the layout of this movement from years ago. Reminds me of Revue.

Thanks. I will do that. Ranfft has an incredible number of movements classified.

I believe the end caps are cut like that to facilitate ultrasonic cleaning.

It didnt become a popular idea ..👍 , but apart from the capstone my watchmaker really loved the MSR movement.
