This is a simple thread.

I reckon we all have a watch in our collection that breaks all the rules. It doesn’t fit our “rules” for our collection, it isn’t on brand, it doesn’t have to make sense but we enjoy it immensely and for whatever reason you never get the urge to sell it.

For me it’s this Picard Fils Supercompressor.

One of the first vintage watches I purchased, it’s my vacation watch and not worth a lot but hits on many levels for me and in great condition. I could blather on about why this a cool watch but that isn’t the point. I just love it. It’s suits me.

Anyone else have a Wild Card?

Bought on a trip to Iceland. I have no need whatsoever of a watch which can tolerate 1000m of immersion. But I liked Gilbert and I like the watch. I am not alone. Many Internationally famous megastars have strayed in and been persuaded to spend. I suspect my photo is not on the wall. His loss.

Citizen is not usually on my radar but when I saw this watch, I had to have it. That dial. That damned dial.
