Hey guys,

This is my Omega Seamaster 14701 from 1961. I love it but ever since I got it the overpolishing especially on the lugs has been bugging me out. Is it possible to restore the original case/lug shape via laser repair welding?

Have a nice week everyone!

Also does anyone know what such a laser repair would cost?

Probably, although the cost of doing so may not make sense when compared to the value of the watch. Try contacting Tanner Morehouse at TM Watch Co. in North Dakota. His firm has a good reputation for case repair and refinishing.

I had my 145.024 „flat jedi“ case laser welded recently. Costs were 280GBP for the case , but it would have been cheaper if it would have been done during a complete service.

Amazing what they can do. And not too expensive either. As a collector I'm happy this technology exists as it widens the pool of possible purchases.
