I had been watching this example on ebay, which ended up selling for $717 advertised with an original dial and $475 service in May, 2019.

I wanted to bid, but wasn't quite certain about the dial. Case looks polished and observatory/stars look worn but acceptable compared to others I've seen. I wouldn't call the case overly polished. Is that a correct observation?

I didn't pull the trigger, because something about the dial didn't seem right. Are the hands lumen'd? If so, I didn't see the "t" next to "Swiss." The patina also seems to strangely extend behind the 12 and 6 hour markers. The printing under the logo didn't look right to me, and not sure it passes the MOY test.

Was $717 a good price for this watch or reasonable for its condition?

You saved yourself $717, it's very unattractive with an awful redial and a case that's seen a bit too much polishing.

Thank you Christos. I'm beginning to identify some of the problematic areas but obviously far from being able to purchase a real vintage example by myself without the expert help of the experienced forum members.
