Vintage Omega Reference and Year ID Help

Hi, I’m trying to identify this vintage Omega that belonged to my father.
It’s manual wind, no date, stainless steel, with a silver dial, applied gold markers and only the applied Omega logo - no text on the dial.
My father was born in 1947, and I believe he may have received the watch for his confirmation around 1961. It says Seamaster on the back.
Any help identifying the reference, caliber and approximate year would be greatly appreciated.

Omega 135.011 with a caliber 601 dating to 1964.

That's my best guess until we see a decent set of photos.

If you are at all technically gifted, you can use a simple tool like a rubber ball to unscrew the caseback, or maybe a budget caseback opener.
If you aren't confident, a watchmaker (not the battery changer at the shopping centre) could remove the caseback.

Then you'll be able to know all you need.

Have a read of this for the basics (ignore the bit about fakes, your Omega is genuine.
