Do you think the dial is original? I was comparing it to the advert it is pictured with and noticed quite a lot of discrepancies in the sub dial area and also the absence of "Swiss"

Yes I believe it is original - quite a number of dial variations for this model.

Then that is really a fantastic watch, it looks to have hardly been worn at all.

Is it typical for the inside case lettering (OMEGA) to have such an irregular, hand engraved look?

Here for comparison is a picture of the inside case back of my 2445 of c1946, serial numbers in the same range, also 18k. You will notice quite a lot of differences, but maybe these are just down to different case manufacturers?

Yes, it's quite normal. Here's another example of this spidery text, this is a 28.10 from 1945.

and here a 2627 from 1950.

Seems to be moving around quite a bit of late, though it does appear to be genuine. It's the same watch sold thru the forum by Kyle in Nov. 2012 (http://omegaforums.net/threads/wtt-18k-1940s-omega-chronometre-30t2rg.2042/) then apparently flipped later that same month on the watchuseek forum (http://forums.watchuseek.com/f29/fs-rare-omega-30t2-rg-chronometer-18k-original-dial-777931.html).

Yes, was my old watch. Looks like it was serviced and case was refinished. Had a great dial but one of the lugs was just a tiny bit more polished down than the others and kept bothering me....

33 bothers me. I'd take it, but for 33 I'd want it to be cheap or special.
