Thanks for the clarification, Mike. A real beauty, especially with that blued steel seconds hand. I hope it lands within the family
I would say it's a 2520. All the 2520 I've seen are powered by cal 352. The 2577's are mixed with 351 (non chronometer) 352 chronometer, 354 chronometer and non chronometer...... I have also seen some with both ref stamped on case back, powered by 351 and I would say it is a 2577 not 2520. and when it's powered by a 352, it's a 2520 I think. =================== One more thing I should add Both ref on back were engraved on, not stamped like the ones with single ref, and looks like they come from South America

I can see why you folks in the USA think our prices are crazy. You just don't get deals like this in the UK. Even buying from Tim (who is not cheap) in Phoenix AZ, getting the watch shipped back to Cornwall and paying the import VAT was still cheaper than buying the same thing from a UK trader.
I looked at this and was afraid the 354 wasn't the right movement for this dial. I'm sure I'm wrong but I worried that the dial was older than the movement, that a 354 should say seamaster and that a pre-seamaster dial would have an older mov't probably a 351. Perhaps better knowledge would have gotten me a nice watch! You got a good looking watch at a nice price, Hijak!
Buck I passed on that one, its still available...I get a bad feeling about this one even though it is a great price. Edit: this is located about an hour outside Chicago, I really could go check it out
Good grief, at this price you can afford to take a chance. It's a gold-filled, Wadsworth case, but a nice dial, the movement is 1954 and from the look of it is in very good nick - look at the teeth on the ratchet wheel, like new. The hands look original and are the right length, the gold applied numerals are gorgeous - if this was an hour away from me I'd be on my way now . . .
Have seen other examples of these gold filled bumpers without the Seamaster text with both 351 and 354 movements. It doesn't look like a franken imo.

And with that, it's gone. Who got it... Hijak? Will be keen to see pictures once it's put on a nice strap and that hideous junk bracelet is gone - please post if someone in here got it. I'm actually in the US next two weeks on business, and I was so sorely tempted by that Buy button...
That listing is for all 8? Geez, it might be a plan to get a small 'group buy' thing happening here. I don't own a 168.015 anymore but it would be easy to get one. Simple dome dials too which might be still available.
Easier said than done. Not too many cal. 564's in workable shape in Webland. The dials for these will only fit the Ref. 168.015 case. Remember that unlike the earlier 56X Constellations, the pie-pan dials are a separate reference number (168.025). Crowns are special for these monocoques also, but I think Ofrei still carries them. gatorcpa
