EUR 2,500.00
Clean movement and dial, but case seems to have been polished quite a bit...

Is this price realistic?

Case polish is what's holding this one back - if it wasn't polished, the price is appropriate as the dial is clean and original and the movement is clean.

I think the tiny pictures are what's holding it back! 😡

Head : $550. Bracelet :$200.

Thanks, that's kinda what I was thinking. Alex seems to have good pieces available.

Another Alex special. Looks great. What would be a reasonable ending bid range?

Hi Mike, That's a beaut! I like older watches than this but it sure does look good. I hope you get this one.

Hi Jim, I agree, it is a beaut. Alex always has nice Omegas listed. I bought a Constellation, with Guilloche Dial from Alex awhile back. But, I'm gonna be working on a local deal for a Seamaster Pro soon. I know, I'm a vintage guy, sometimes modern is hard to resist. So, I won't have the available funds for this one too. 🙁 So, give it a shot. If you win it, you won't be disappointed. Alex really is good to work with.

Common for these 18k bumper chronometre references to have both imprinted - the case is clearly correct here. Minor issues - case looks to have been lightly polished and the crown looks to be a later replacement. Otherwise the condition is better than 99% of the omega bumper chronometres that I have seen.

Thanks for the clarification, Mike. A real beauty, especially with that blued steel seconds hand.
I hope it lands within the family 😀

So with this case, is this watch a 2577 or a 2520, Mike? 😕
22543

I would say it's a 2520.

All the 2520 I've seen are powered by cal 352. The 2577's are mixed with 351 (non chronometer) 352 chronometer, 354 chronometer and non chronometer......

I have also seen some with both ref stamped on case back, powered by 351 and I would say it is a 2577 not 2520. and when it's powered by a 352, it's a 2520 I think.
===================

One more thing I should add
Both ref on back were engraved on, not stamped like the ones with single ref, and looks like they come from South America
