1080 is quite a good price for a 168.010 in that condition, the point is not helping people find arbitrage opportunities though it’s about finding people good examples of watches to own and wear.

It's not to find arbitrage opportunities, but to protect those who are naive about ebay's bids/pricing, from falling prey to predatory pricing. I feel it is aligned with your intentions of helping people find the good watches from the bad.

That said, I really appreciate what you're doing.

When I was looking for a Reverso, I built an Excel spreadsheet (Google sheets, actually) and watched the market for over a year. I scoured auction sites, had my spreadsheet calculate currency conversions, add buyer premiums, and shipping. It wasn't that hard to graph prices over time for the couple of models I was interested in. When I felt like I had enough data points, one came into the window, I knew what to bid, and now it looks great on my wrist.

You simply need to take responsibility for the bid(s) you place, based on the research that you do. If you don’t have sufficient information either start your own thread and enquire about a specific watch or don’t bid.

If a member got this one - I would be interested in knowing how the case back looks in the flesh. It appears to have some gouges from someone opening it improperly. This seller's photos seem to wash out some condition issues at times. The last SW they sold a few weeks back had a personalized inscription that was not apparent in the auction photos.

This is quite uncommon, Seamaster De Ville “Kleerback” factory displayback variant in gold-filled case with partial Arabic dial going no reserve

If you need to PM me you can about a watch but just don’t make it all the time is all or that would get rather time consuming, the thread should stay clear of discussion though as it makes it hard for people to use as intended.
