This 18K solid gold Geneve Cal 565 goes off in 8 hours, I wouldn’t go above a grand given the Geneve is a simple watch but these are uncommon and interesting in 18K and will look good on a strap, crown is a replacement but easy to source a correct one for these

Someone snapped this one up for $860 or less.

Well done.

I am thinking about going for this one. Do you have any concerns with the rust around the back of the case, seen in the movement picture or is this something that can easily be cleaned up. I am new to the forum so please excuse if this is a dumb question. I really enjoyed your write up on this piece. So much great information.

Looks like wrist cheese to me, not rust. There might be some minor corrosion, but nothing I would be worried about. This was never going to be a highly water resistant watch.

Yea I’d still want to get it cheap regardless, ideally under $500 but its currently at $200 which leaves a lot of room

Went for $349, quite a cheap way into an ultra-thin

Omega Geneve 14703 Cal 562 in 18K Solid gold with partial arabic dial, replacement crown but quite good overall

https://www.ebay.com/itm/266613992261
Note that this is not Ref. 14703 case. Instead it is likely Argentina National production. It is probably solid gold, although seller calls it “gold-filled” in title of listing.

Dial is quite nice. Price is fair as of now, but this will go up.
