This is a relist of the rather uncommon and quite special 18K solid gold Constellation piepan deluxe 14902 / 14903 by Alex in Mexico, probably a non-paying bidder as he rarely relists anything

I think it was closer to $4K. I'm watching this one.

This one’s a Seamaster De Ville North American Aviation presentation watch from 1969 which is rather cool, North American designed and built the Apollo CSM for better and for worse, so it has an interesting connection to history for a De Ville, goes off in 5 hours and currently $100

This one’s very unusual, Geneve 166.070 in 18K solid gold, they’re nearly all gold-plated, Cal 565, replacement crown but otherwise quite nice with sharp edges

This one is very cool, gold-filled Seamaster De Ville but its a Kleerback, and it has a special four sector dial, some minor wear on the lugs but still very worth it for this one

Wrote about these here: https://stories.omegaforums.net/seamaster-deville-kleerback-kl-6292-vb/

https://www.ebay.com/itm/315027515019

I had a couple of PMs asking about this, the Kleerback typically carries a small premium as does the special dial these days, I’d not be surprised if this one went over $1,000 given it has both and a bracelet, its a nice watch and one of the most desirable of gold-filled De Villes.

Yeh North American is very interesting. Basically absorbed into what's being Boeing nowadays. I was very close to bid but I figured I was just lazy to go through the additional work that will make it look wearable again. Wouldn't the service and new parts bring it close to $1k?

If you send it to Omega yea, my local independent will service a cal 55x for about 200-250 usd, I’ve bought entire donor watches with that movement for under $100 in good running order but 55x movements more often than not will run again with minimal parts.

Odds are the watch has just never been serviced before. I actually find the 5xxs that have stopped and don’t run are less trouble and expense than ones that do run but don’t stay wound as it tends to mean friction or a mainspring caused it to stop before the auto winding system had a chance to get too flogged out.

But yea nobody should be sending these entry level Omega vintage models to Bienne, get your local grey haired watchmaker to handle it.

Evening every one. I am relatively new to your forum (recommended by a friend) and new to trying to collect vintage Omegas, so have found this thread.fantastic. I was wondering if I could seek a few opinions on the dial of this 1956 Omega Seamaster Automatic Cal.501 Pie Pan. I am torn on constellation pie pans or seamasters. Love the simple classic look, but wondered if anyone thought this dial may not be genuine and if so how or why? The serial numbers and cal seem to add up ok. But the S and R seem different to others I have seen. Thanks in advance
Welcome to the forum. This thread is wonderful and worth following as great pieces are shared here. However, as the title states, this thread isn’t for inquiries but rather recommending pieces to purchase. You’ll reach a greater audience and help if you created a thread in the vintage section 👍
