Omega Geneve Grand Sport Cal 601, cool dial variant with a 70s motorsport feel, decent condition too, it’ll probably go a bit higher than most Geneves though as a result. I think @rbob99 was looking for one of these too?

Wow… yea I hadn’t picked that, even the 18K Chronometer Geneves don’t hit those numbers. It’s cool but there are some other racing oriented models that are similarly cool in cheap watches as well. Guess I’ll keep an eye on them in the future.

It was too rich for my blood.

UK Watch, hidden crown piepan with some patina but not unattractive, nice case, seller is open to offers which is what I would be trying rather than paying the asking.

Yes, but how much would you offer? Even £1,000 would be a lot for a watch in this condition given the somewhat undesirable patina, and it looks very well polished from the one picture of the case back. Im also suspicious of the number of pictures all from the same angle.

He’s asking £1475 but wouldn’t a reasonable price be considered an unreasonable offer? I’d be reluctant to make an offer for fear he’d be insulted. That said I am a Brit and therefore rather unwilling to do anything in life (or business) that might offend.

Edit: he’s asking £1,150 for it on his website.

Nothing special but this is going off in 4 hours and is at £200 just now. Working and untouched for 20 years. Engraved on the back with a small Boots (chemists) logo for 25 years service.

5 hours left on this 18K Cal 711, still pretty low for what it is
@dsio I love your contributions to this thread, and really appreciate that when you recommend something I know it’s legit... except when you draw attention to things I’ve been keeping an eye on!

No, I didn’t bid in the end. I’m not keen on gold dials or needle hands so couldn’t see myself wearing it.
