Does anyone know if a new crystal for this reference is still available? Looks like this one has a crack in the center... or maybe just a really deep scratch.
I’ve not had an issue getting crystals for Cosmics whether 166.022 or 166.026, a watchmaker with an Omega parts account should be able to get one as these aren’t rare.

This only has a day and a half left, its another Omega Geneve 18K Gold Calibre 602 Chronometer, condition isn’t on par with the one that recently sold for $1430 but its not bad either, very suitable for a wearable piece and will likely be very affordable for an 18K Omega of the era, especially being as uncommon as it is.

These are always rather cool and a bit uncommon, 14K Gold-filled Seamaster DeVille Kleerback (factory displayback) which was actually a thing back in the day.

More information on Kleerbacks here: https://omegaforums.net/threads/dis...n-vintage-display-back-kleerback-omegas.1189/

Kleerback going off in 1.5 hours, still cheap, cool uncommon watch

I am not into these watches, but this seems extremely cheap to me. I have no doubt that a SMDV with a really cool feature like this could be sold for a lot more by a competent dealer.

It’s very cheap for sure, half the people looking at it have no idea what it is and think its some hack job or a watch with a missing caseback.

This makes me even happier to be the lucky one to have bought it yesterday!
Such a cool piece with that back side.
I am pretty new to ebay and this forum and it was my first omega watch purchase ever.
Thank you dsio, without your posts here I wouldn’t have found this watch.

You did good mate, definitely get it serviced and assume the water resistance is poor at best as the way the kleerback plexiglass seals into the case is not up to modern standards but that’s a really cool watch to own especially as your first at that price.

Can you post some pics once you get it and have it cleaned up / serviced / put on a strap?

That's a very strong start to your collection, congratulations! Have a read-up on the Kleerbacks, very interesting stuff. There are a number of old advert floating around you can gander at.

1958 491 cal. 2846-2848 Rose Gold Honeycomb - checks a lot of boxes, worn but looked good to me, 2 rarities in one watch

Up for a single bid win at 677 euros and there's still time for US people to find a forum member from EU to proxy it 😀
