Shame I can't go for this one as I have the same watch in PGC with an immaculate dial. ;)

Pics or it did not happen.:p

Pardon me asking, is there some mild bubbling on the dial or is it just aging? And there are black spots on the date disk. What price you guys think this may go for, just as a reference? Thanks.

Dial only perhaps, and note that the markers are not the same.

I suspect this watch will go to its new owner off ebay - I'm guessing the seller is sorting through a bunch of offers at this moment.

Not nearly as attractive an option as it may have been in the past, since eBay is now charging final value fees based on
the bid price at the time the item is ended.

Most interesting - didn't know this. So to keep stuff in play, the strategy is to bid it up early, cutting into the seller's incentive for selling it early.
Does this apply to the fixed value Buy It Nows as well? For instance, if you conclude an off-Ebay deal, does the seller have to pay the fee for full value?

Currently the rule applies only to auction style listings.

eBay has also begun redacting email addresses exchanged through eBay messages, greatly limiting the ease with which sellers
can arrange off site sales. Yes, big brother is watching.

These changes are being done to "boost buyer confidence", when if fact eBay has simply grown tired of losing fees to off site sales.

This I noticed - it surprised me a few days ago, and by the time I figured out what was going on, it cost me a Universal Geneve "Big Eye" as it screwed up my communication with the seller.

Well, it's a business, not a public service. They gotta do what they gotta do, and we gotta do what we gotta do. ;)

Of course many times you can track a seller down buy googling their ID name, location, listed facts, or even just type of business if it is a small enough geographic location

Here's a link to what I think is a very nice 14K Cal 505, pie-pan Constellation for sale.

While the dial isn't in the greatest condition, I do believe it to be original. The seller is a private collector who's been around the forrms (particularly TZ) for a number of years.

Price being asked is reasonable given current vintage watch market and price of gold.

Then again, this all could be too late,

Case is nice but that dial looks like it previously had a lot of patina and it was cleaned.

It looks like they actually prevent messages containing emails from being transmitted and not just redacting the email address.

That doesn't seem to work either. I tried it and got stopped by an Ebay auto message. But, there seems to be a fix by doing an advance search on the seller.

Any eBay seller willing to jeopardize their account by fucking with the new eBay, probably shouldn't be selling there anyway.
