Always makes me curious when people do short time auctions on eBay. Is it that they desperately need the money quickly, or they desperately need to get rid of the item quickly. Either way, my alarm bells go off.
I don’t think its really a short time auction, I just tend to sort by newly listed and ending soonest most of the time, I’m pretty sure I saw it a few days ago too

Sadly as great as the deal is, to get a USA watch to the UK is £50 about $65 where to get anything from China is no more than a few £/$ ....There is something very wrong with the world 🙁

Pretty sure that equates to $68 US so similar to here, but I bet the same applies for China to Oz

You realise that China has a somewhat outdated benefit of an almost zero post cost agreement with western world from when they were considered a 3rd world nation. Some countries have tried to have it revoked but obviously China is reluctant.

Excellent condition Calibre 601 Geneve in gold plate, this is the nicest ive seen in quite a while of this reference

https://www.ebay.com/itm/294619380695?hash=item4498aefbd7:g:HOgAAOSwHs1hTROp&LH_Auction=1

Ok I didn’t quite expect it to shoot up to $1000 usd like that, but then its also the nicest 601 Geneve in a very long time in gold plate, so seeing people overpay for condition rather than for perceived scarcity is not a bad thing.

Surprised this one is still around, examples in lesser condition have sold for more in open auctions of late

Novice questions: Picture 2 and 3 show a decent sized ding in the bezel, directly above the 1 o’clock position. In other pictures (1 & 4), this mark seems absent? That and a lack of movement or case back pictures make me wonder if I’m looking at 2 watches, and what am I getting? Legit concerns?

Looks like a reflection to me.

Agreed, a reflection. Try taking photos of any watch and you will probably get a reflection of yourself of some sort in it or at least the device used to take the photo.

I personally wouldnt purchase anything without seeing the movement or inside of caseback to confirm ref number.
