This one is a re-list that I’d posted weeks ago but it’s a really cool piece that deserves to be serviced and restored, ref DD145.0022. I’d probably send to omega for an overhaul given its relatively modern yet very limited in numbers.

At $6900 there should be more than enough room to have this one restored properly for well under that cost of a good one on Chrono24 so hopefully someone here got it

Outbid unfortunately - wasn’t sure of the availability/ price of the correct bezel.
The bezel is the same as the bezel on several of the 80s and 90s 18k solid gold Moonwatches so shouldn’t be a problem, not a huge amount of gold content either so can’t imagine it being too insane, I really hope we see it surface here at some point and get put right

The hidden crown Constellation went for $493… should have bought it myself

I was thinking of having a go at this too. The dial is nice enough. I have a 168.004 but doesn’t look quite the same with the crown ‘hidden’. Were there non-hidden 004s or would it be camera angle?816611B7-51CE-42B4-98D9-C6680AACBC7C.jpeg

Not quite as easy as you think....I've been looking for a hand set since this happened to me two months ago on the day of purchase

@cristos71 Oh no, how on earth did that happen?
Fantastic dial btw :)

so how do you find a good black dial vintage?

This isn’t the right thread for such questions, for reasons of clarity it’s not meant for inquiries, see it’s title. You’ll find quite a few comments on that topic using the forum search (and could, of course, always open a new thread to discuss), but bottom line is roughly:
With a combination of a healthy budget and most of all knowledge/experience.
