And I like this despite (or maybe because of?) the condition, but probably just because I'm a sucker for such things.
I wonder how the conversation with Omega would go asking if they have any spare DD 145.022 bezels in stock

Shame, I was curious to see what it would go for, especially as fewer and fewer of these seem to come up for sale lately. My feeling is whatever he sold it for outside of ebay, it would have probably gone for more as an open listing, even taking into account fees. But we'll never know :whipped:

105.012 with a dial that looks to be becoming tropical, movement in the right range. Case may have been lightly polished. To my eyes, the lume is in pretty bad shape (not great color), case back is worn down. But could probably snag it for something reasonable.

Was wondering if anyone had experience with this seller. Seen a few items of theirs for sale in the past that looked decent but always have been a bit put off by the issues around South American EBay sellers.

Theres a 14 day moneyback, plus ebay's gty. Also has a ton of feedback. Wouldnt be too worried, but I've always been a bit on the less risk-averse side.

Having gone through one of those "money back" processes with EBay I've become more risk adverse. But I also don't want to make everyone a guilt party because of a few bad apples.

eBay money back process is quite easy for me, except for some agonizing wait period. Don't know what happened on your side.

This watch looks like a complete dog to me, the movement has corrosion and chewed screws, the plating in general looks very tired/scratched and the coupling yolk looks a bit strange, I think it should have beveled edges.

The case back is polished to death (total death!), the case body is also lightly polished.

The hands have had a white paint touch up so someone has already attempted cosmetic enhancement (I would skip it just for that to be honest) and the lume is cracked/missing.

The dial isn't tropical so much as it is moisture damaged, thus the bubbling, the lume on the plots is gone and the under paint is dirty. Ending on a high note it has a very nice crown and original pushers.

IMO it is crazy to drop 7k$ on a completely clapped out watch when something like this example took a while to sell for 8700$ this week.

Remember the market is maturing and condition will only become more important.

Comparing the movement shots makes the initial example even more horrifying IMO 🤮

Awesome analysis. Thanks for the lesson!

I can't see any obvious tells that point to this being a redial, but that condition is really great!
The price isn't off the charts and the movement looks very good. If you are going to bid, ask for any documentation on that service, in this case it could well have happened.

The issue was posting a link to your own ebay listing in a thread for recommended watches and describing it beautiful etc, but not mentioning it's yours. Reads a lot like an advert for your auction rather than you asking for anyone's thoughts.

What @72c said is the main issue but what is it about "(not inquiries)", in the thread title, that you didn't understand?

You joined the forum 1 hour ago, your first post was a link to your own Ebay listing on this thread, and you don't see any problem with it?

First impression... Not good.
