I believe it's meant to discourage things like "I saw this watch on eBay and I'm wondering if it's legit."
I think if you just post the inquiry in the "Vintage Omega Watches---Help, Discussion & Advice" you'll be fine.
Yep. Just took it down. Teaches me to post while I'm watching the hockey playoffs. Makes me too aggressive. gatorcpa

14kt f300hz Constellation purchased in 1973, with original gold + extra second band, box and papers, BIN of $699 - 1 hour left! http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Vintage-...615172?hash=item51e3961684:g:dCgAAOSwz2lXCsvZPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
I remember seeing a late 50s Connie once with an official mesh bracelet like this in ss with the Omega symbol on the clasp. Got excited for a second, thought this might be the second time ever I saw another, but alas no not omega. Think that must have been a vintage custom order or something :..(
Supposed to be. This is a very nice Swiss Hamilton from the 1970's. Looks like the Aqua Diver model from 1973. The appropriate place to post this would be the "Other Watch Brands" board. gatorcpa

Please, please - someone buy this, or I will be forced to. I really don't need it, but it's pulling me towards the BIN button..! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Omega-Sea...484335?hash=item33b693fe6f:g:HT8AAOSwiYFXKPVzPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
Yep I saw that. Thought it would be there or there about. But wouldn't have been surprised if a tad higher?
Yeah that's nice at a great price. I'd do it except I just got a two-tone 2767 that I really like. Thanks for sharing that listing.
New to the world of watches, could you explain what you mean by the seller has no idea what he's selling? Is there something unique about this watch or just the fact that it is clean and original? thanks
It's back up. "This is from a smoke-free and pet-free environment" Good. I hate it when my prospective vintage watches had close encounters with bunny rabbits.
