I like it, but IMHO, will wait for others to weigh in their opinions. Not sure what it may be, but I see what may be flaking or peeling on the left bottom lug. Also, medallion on case back appears to be a different color or it could be just angle/lighting issue in photo. Dial show Chronometer, without "Certified", can this be correct?

Nope nothing wrong with the watch. Case to me looks to be unpolished, dial is likely an 18k gold dial and the script without officially certified is absolutely correct for the period.

Does the medallion always stick out like that on gold models?

The caseback in the 18k gold connies is one piece - doesn't have the "medallion" stuck on like in the gold cap and stainless steel models.

a) There's nothing to "peel off" on a solid gold case.
b) Perfectly acceptable text on the dial for that case reference
c) If Mike recommends it, you don't have to question it. He's the E.F. Hutton of vintage Omega - when he talks, people listen.

Thank you, I'm trying to be a sponge for all the knowledge offered here, but sometimes this sponge is a rock.🙄

1. That is just dirt or scratch - This is a solid gold watch.
2 Yes, that is fine.
3. Yes the Script is correct for this model, we have discussed this before.

Thanks, I'm not sure sometimes.😉

This may be my time for gold?

It's a decent price to begin with, and if you have the money make them an offer. Pie pans are cool, but a nice gold dome dial is great too.

And I appreciate your two cents. You and a few others have been my mentor through my journey to learn the vintage Omega watch ins & outs. I thank you. But now, I'm waiting for seller response. Seller already countered & I've countered his counter😗

I'm currently trying to work it out with seller. I'll let you know if falls apart.

Buyer accepted my offer. Be patient, there will be others.

Sometimes, it does "peel off" on a solid gold case and you will see a worn medallion underneath. 😁

Okay Hoi, you got me on a technicality - I should amend that to say "there's nothing to peel off an authentic solid gold case".
