Sold for $4100, which in this market is a really good deal IMO. Seller was in Malaysia and the auction ended at 4:50 am NYC time - I wonder if that kept any US bidders out of the running?

It could, but then there's always Gixen et al. , which besides the usual sniper service is also useful for times when you're not able to bid yourself - as a matter of fact I bought a Speedmaster that way just yesterday while I was on the subway under the East River 😉

I've seen that frequently lately - watch doesn't sell at BIN price, seller relists watch with even higher BIN. I get that strategy if they include the best offer option, perhaps thinking that buyers are only offering 60% of the BIN maybe they bump up the BIN to a price where they would accept 60%. But I don't understand the logic on listings like this where the only option is BIN.

I've been following an somewhat obscure Hamilton chronograph for the past 15 months (I had one like it in high school that was later stolen). It started with a BIN of $1000, never got a bid over the 30 day auction, and has been relisted regularly for $200 more each time, and has never received a single bid. It's now over $2200. I contacted the guy once between auctions to see if he was open to any deal and he brushed me off fairly rudely. Oh well, I didn't need it anyway.

That's a fairly common phenomenon. I'm sure a good psychologist could explain it. I imagine the seller saying to himself "You don't want to pay my very fair asking price? Well I'll show you then. Let's see how you like not paying my new, inflated asking price!"

Now I´m not accusing anybody of anything here, but what are the odds we might see this one again in the not so distant future?...................🙄 😒

Odds imply it's not a certainty which this is IMO.

Are those hands right?
They are, the solid black hands are the common non-luminous option on both Calibre 56x and 751 C-Case models
