minute markers missing from 10 -2 and looking at the fonts I would call a redial -too heavy and no serifs on the lettering here's my 564 168.005 -close up
Indeed good call on the markers. Seem to be polished off (perhaps in an attempt to clean the smudge). Fonts look good to me.
I was comparing to a similar era -564 but whilst admittedly the pics on the 'Bay aren't so clear to be sure -yours looks much nicer -with finer font lines and the little downward 'ticks' on the cross bar of the Ts are very clear-which appear to be missing from the ebay watch -might be just the resolution though
I´m out of the market but if I was in it I´d be seriously considering this Seamaster 300 CK14755. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vintage-D...84?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_77&hash=item56784dbb40Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
For me not a concern at all. As a complete package I think the watch looks great, the filled hands seem to match just fine and if the bezel insert was already damaged/missing then having an Aldo fitted saves what can be very time consuming job. And the extract is always nice too for peace of mind
It will be interesting, there are lots of Speedmasters on the market on a daily basis which generally gives a good idea about where certain models in various grades of condition will end up. Not quite the same though with the straight lug 300's, they are few and far between, especially the nice ones. If this one runs it course it will be a good test of the market. I'll have a guess at €4755
The value of this one will lie between one in similar condition with a nice original bezel and one without a redone bezel.
