Saw this:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-OME...ER-IN-GREAT-CONDITION-MOON-WATCH/271918103787

One day left. Correct Bezel, etching looks nice. No pictures of the movement. Also, looks like it may have been relumed (although I do notice the hand lume matches the plot lume). What do you guys think?

Only small parts of the dial lume have been touched in, the original lume is 99% in tact.
Photos of the movement have been added.
If the buyer is not happy returns are fine.

What about this watch looks nice

I want it... Not necessarily this one. It's not that good. Especially for this money. But watches sold in the UK seem to fetch more than when sold in EU or USA. Too bad I recently acquired a Anakin Skywalker so my funds has run dry. There will be others.

I feel like recommending your own auctions might be a slight conflict of interest 🤔
I see where your coming from but disagree with what your saying.

Whilst not a conflict of interest, If they are your sales I would suggest that it is poor form just to post them on the "Recommended Vintage Watches" section purely to increase their exposure (and your return) If everybody were to do this, it would make a mockery of this particular section.

I was going to bid on the box, but to do so would leave a bitter taste so I have removed it from my watch list.

You are free to post your eBay sales in the FS forum here. This thread is for eBay sales that respected members have vetted. I certainly don't feel like I have the knowledge to post in this thread.

I also thought putting the 2500 pound insurance evaluation in the add for a Geneve a bit ( not sure what word should go here)

Seriously ?? It was in with the papers and I'm sure everyone is aware that an insurance valuation is new for old.
I would not have posted if it was a run of the mill watch it is what it is a cracking near mint example.
Some collectors here may have been looking for such said watch. I really cant see what all the fuss is about.

Ditto. No longer watching the auction as well.

Agree. Very poor show. And even more so - if possible - when you are not transparent about it.

I think that's the issue, quite frankly.

Post your stuff in the sales section and people here can see it. Posting it here yourself is extremely poor form and compromises the very point of this thread which is to provide a bit of guidance from trusted posters on good items for sale on eBay. If people come in willy nilly posting their own stuff then it's difficult to have confidence in the items which are posted here.

Also, Smithson Jewellers of South Shields are having a laugh I think. 2,500 quid?

Fully agree, especially with the "trusted posters" part. I found a wonderful vintage Speedmaster on eBay via this thread, the authenticity of which I would have been unsure of, except for the experts here.
