I am thinking of putting a bid on the omega seamaster60m diver that was posted a few days ago although it won't be huge, if anyone really wants it I will not bid so that the price is not pushed up unnecessarily more than it has to.

And how does one read the nonsensical private bidding taking it up to $1k with two days to go? Makes nonsense to me.

It certainly didn't take long for it to blow past my bid.

I'm also in for that one. What would be decent value +20% for that one? I'm willing to overpay a little, but not an insane amount.

When I looked at it yesterday it had gone up to 750 dollars so I put a bid of 755, just to see what the price was, which was not enough then 800 which was not enough then 900 which was not enough and then 1000 which was not enough 1150 was still not enough so somebody really wants it. these watches are not that common but the ones that have been sold have gone for between 1500 and 1800 dollars. judging on what's out there, and as I said , its not a lot, I think 1500 would be about its limit and I am not sure its worth that considering it will probably need a service and a new strap (optional)

The "Private Bidders" thing can be used to hide shill bidding - not saying that is the case here - but it is not surprising that you often see these items re-listed.

You're correct on all counts. Purchasing that watch would confirm my wife's suspicions.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I have one in great shape and it's surprisingly wearable. I find it on my wrist, often

It certainly is. So is humor, apparently.

Awesome Black Waffle 2852 coming up for auction in a week in Geneve. It looks like another slightly different and later version of the 18kt flat link bracelet. This one has single stretch links and a slightly longer clasp, a la 7912.

I´ve been kidding myself for a couple of weeks that I´m going to be in on the bidding but I now realise with an estimate of 6.6k-12k Euro plus commission the timings wrong and it just ain´t gonna happen 🙁

I hope one of you guys can land it 😉

I just watched the sale live and it sold for CHF 7500 plus 25%

I have no clue on the value of this piece, but it has to be one of the coolest looking dials I've ever seen:

Can you get more art deco than that?

I know that the case is called "The Diplomat". The rear bezel pops out so that the watch may be used as a travel clock.

A convertible of sorts.
