The band and buckle are 100% original and extremely hard to find. The dial? Well now you know why so many of these old Constellations are redialled...

Can a good watchmaker clean the dial on this one without compromising the originality of the dial?

Attempts to clean such a dial would, at best, affect only a slight improvement. At worst........? And it would only be attempted at your risk!

They get fed to the anonymous vultures who won't contribute to the forum but consider watching this thread is all the due diligence they need to do.
At least the bargain has gone and they will have to pay a fair price.

Nobody is going to out a piece they are after, although I have been on the receiving end a few times, with people outing a watch in which I was interested.

I bought a driver chronostop watch which was recommended on here, although it was bought before I joined this forum. it says sold for 1900 dollars on the link, but I actually paid 1500 dollars. The auction had to run but i agreed the price before hand.

Good idea George but I would suspect that it would involve a lot more work for the mods, deleting the rash of one-liners. There was one new member who added 40 such posts in two days a couple of weeks ago.
