I like it. Sharp case, clean original dial, attractive rose gold furnitures, original yellow gasket still intact, movement looks good. Only crystal need replacement. If the price knock off 1-2 hundred, it is true attractive. (Hey there is make offer button, too 😉 )
With TLC it will be a good daily wearer.

It was $1100, then he upped it to $1600 🙁

Guess he didn't like my offer...so much that he doubled the price I sent 🙁.

Hmmm... What a shame. Makes it a bit rich after service and crystal and customs.

^ Nice watch 😀

"I also have the original hard to find Omega 1039 inox bracelet with original 516 end links from 1970, for a 18 cm wrist, not included in this auction, but if you want buy alone, I ask 500 € for it, if you will buy with the watch, I ask 300 € more."

Wut? Separately 500€ but with the watch 800€ haha?

I just saw this one. It might be worth someone asking for a picture of the outside of the case back - the serial number is within the accepted range for when they were still shipping the straight text case back on some examples, and so it might actually be a more interesting watch than a basic '70s Speedy.

I believe this could just be an issue with English-as-second-language. On second read I take this to mean that he'll throw in the bracelet for €300 if you buy the watch.

I read this as €300 for the bracelet if purchased with the watch.

Mathlar and darlinboy: Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's what the Spaniard actually means - I was thinking the same thing as you when I read it but you can't be really sure.. Quite weird when the English is IMO good in the ad otherwise.

Regards, non-native English speaker 😉

Why do you recommend this - is it the low starting price or the "extraordinary condition" and incompleteness?

Just because of the low starting price, figure a lot of people need bits, I know I'm still after a few stretch links for 7912s due to my very fat wrist.

Cheap and fugly. Are those stretch links different than the 1039/1035 style?

Seamaster XVI 18K RG just listed, I think the dial's correct comparing it to mine, though the case has been polished a fair bit:

Those lugs aren't nearly as bad as some I've seen. Not a bad price considering the condition. The caseback is in excellent shape. Wait for MSNWatch to comment, especially on the crown - I think the correct ones had 6 sides.
