Another fun find. Any doctors out there want to impress their patients? The 19.73N movement is a very nice piece of work if you're into those kind of things.

There seems to be a market for these modded horrors. I feel sorry for these movements. This one beats them all 馃え:

Little bit of a sleeper here, listed as 1970's but movement number is 1956, it's a steel no date conquest with what looks to me like an original crown, 19AS movement, no date to set manually every time you want to wear it.
Only problem I can see is that at some stage the rotor bearing got loose and started to rub the caseback. Oh, and the asking price is too steep for me, but best offer is available. I can't say about the dial, if it's a re-dial it's a good one.

It is most likely a redial (the way Conquest is written is wrong). The case has been polished and the medallion is missing enamel. I would pass on this one.

The title of this thread is "Recommended Longines Watches on eBay".

Let me emphasize the important word: recommended.

If you aren't sure of the authenticity / originality of a watch, start a thread asking for opinions. At over $900, a redial is NOT a recommended watch. 馃檮

"revised and polished"

Who the hell polishes a gunged-up case without cleaning it first? Does incompetence know no bounds?!? 馃う

Good point - I saw the dirt, which I took as a good sign, but didn't notice signs of a polish until I looked at it on the computer. Thankfully it looks like he polished it about as aggressively as he cleaned it. And he had the sense to skip the case back medallion.

Someone get this quick ! (two hours left). (I would go for it if I hadn't incurred big expenses lately).

Hmmm... Price seems a bit high considering it needs a crown and a crystal; although case and dial seem to be in good shape.

What part of the case is gold-filled? Looks more like SS. I've never heard of white GF, but I guess it may exist?

It is stainless - the caseback says so. For a raw example in that condition, the price is only a little high.

GC 291 in my fav dial configuration.

Generic crown and fish medallion doesn't have that much enamel left. But looks like original crystal with desired built in cyclops and nice clean dial.

That upper left lug looks awfully funky. I'd be worried...
